Constant Readers,
In the wake of layoffs and restructuring at my favorite news channel, CBS local affiliate KPIX (hey, those guys put me on the news - where you at ABC? KRON?) I have a suggestion for increased viewership:
Give me my own show or segment.
You may stop laughing now.
Or, do what this news station does - "Dance Party Fridays"
Who am I kidding? You don't have to choose. I do a mean Cabbage Patch.
--Melissa
I'm all for you having a segment on CBS 5. Even if it's a web-only segment. That'd rock.

Best. Video. Ever.
Don't move to Ohio, but by all means get a news segment.

oh my GOD that was hilarious not just because they did it but because they were so awesomely honkified.
I find it sad that in our allegedly fine and sophisticated city, we have not found a way to integrate some dance moves into our newscasts. I mean, wtf? Even the N Judah has Tequila Fridays.

That YouTube clip made me hate white people, which is ridiculous, since I am one. But yuck!
Rather than Friday Dance Party, I want to see you and Beth doing a weekly Friday Interpretive Dance of This Week's Top Stories. I've got a digital video camera and a tripod and I think the goddess has my phone number. Think about it.

Oh god. The rock bottom of local news.
Favorite line:
CrackerGuy to CrackerGirl: "You're lip-synching. That's not fair. I was actually actually rapping."

That video is one of the best things I've ever seen. I can totally see Frank Somerville breakin' it down. And Sal Castaneda? Forget it.
