Jake's blundering on the MTA issue shows why Progressives are terrible at the game of politics. The fact that it was so easy to game him like that it just amazing.

Seriously, though, the SF County Transit Authority is one of the FEW success stories in SF transit. They don't spend their money on failwhale employees or big pay for bureaucrats - the money has to be spent on projects that improve transit (be it MUNI or whatever) in some specific way. The recent proactive fixes to the N Judah line at Irving/9th (while past MUNI inaction allowed a woman to get her legs cut off by an oncoming train) is but one example.

Because the CTA gets its money from a sales tax, state law mandates that the people who run it are elected directly by the people. Ironically, when Jake was going on and on about how he wanted Supervisors "more intimately involved" with MUNI, he forgot that he at the time was the CHAIR of the SFCTA

Overall, the whole little catfight shows why after 8 years, progressives don't have a lot to show on the issues that matter to us in our daily lives. They had their chance, and spent their time on symbolic resolutions and not on real reforms to city government we could all support. And now they want to run the electricity in my house?

Keep Lolcat Jake offa my 'lectricity!

greg, LolJake is termed out, leave him alone and don't make him the poster boy for all progressives.

especially when carole migden is going to be tanned, rested and ready in 2010. heh.

but if she runs, i think it'll be in district 8.

This post is so good it deserves to be in print somewhere....

My name is Holly Lem and i would like to show you my personal experience with Clomid.

I am 28 years old. I got preg first time on my own & miscarried. after a while of trying, my dr put me on clomid. after the first round i got pregnant & miscarried. i decided not to try or think about it at all probably for a 9 months... right around the time baby would be due & then started trying again. after a few months got back on clomid. after 5 months and no pregnancy i'm giving it a rest again. it's to much disappointment. i'm going to give it a try again soon, in the mean time we're keeping our fingers crossed for the old fashioned way to work.

I have experienced some of these side effects-
HOT FLASHES, moody, cry easily, weight gain, headaches etc!!

I hope this information will be useful to others,
Holly Lem
