I'm watching the replay of today's Rules Committee. Chris Daly just compared Gavin Newsom to Caligula.
Seriously.
Context: Daly said he (Daly) had heard that Mistermayor was trying to put pressure on certain members of the Small Business Commission regarding leadership of the commission.
Caligula supposedly believed himself to be a god, and feuded with the Senate. And was a murderous sociopath. Soooooo....there's that.

As far as murderous sociopaths are concerned, I would have associated Newsom with Christian Bale's character in American Psycho.
